Deadside HWID Spoofer: What It Is and Who Needs One
A plain explanation of hardware IDs, hardware bans and what a spoofer can and cannot do, plus what to verify before you buy one.
When a game bans you, there are two broad ways it can do it. One is to ban the account. The other is to ban something tied to your computer, so that a new account on the same machine is blocked as well. That second type is what people mean by a hardware ban, and it is the reason HWID spoofers exist.
What HWID means
HWID stands for hardware ID. It is a combination of identifiers your PC reports, such as disk serial numbers, network adapter addresses and graphics hardware IDs. Anti-cheat systems can record these when they issue a ban. If the same identifiers show up again, the new account may be blocked even though it is brand new.
What a spoofer does
A spoofer changes the identifiers your system presents to the game. According to the product page, the store's spoofer changes hardware identifiers including disk serials, MAC addresses and GPU IDs, giving a different hardware profile than the one tied to a previous ban.
What a spoofer does not do
It is worth being clear about this, because it is where many people get confused.
- It does not restore a banned account.
- It does not make cheating risk free.
- It does not fix a ban that is only tied to the account and not to your hardware.
If your account was banned and you want it back, read how Deadside ban appeals work instead. A spoofer is for the case where hardware itself is the problem.
When people consider one
- You were banned and want to play again on a fresh account.
- You are not sure whether the ban was tied to your PC and want to avoid a repeat.
- You want a clean hardware profile before starting over.
What to check before buying
Compatibility. The product page lists support across Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye titles, along with Ricochet and several others. Deadside is not named on that page, so confirm that it is covered on the HWID spoofer page and on the status page before you buy. If anything is unclear, ask support first.
Requirements. The page notes that Cloud DMA is required for full functionality. Read that section so you know what your setup needs.
Status. As with any tool of this kind, status can change after game or anti-cheat updates. The product page tells you to check live status before launch.
License terms. If you change PCs, the store lets you reset your HWID in the portal or open a support ticket.
Pricing
The spoofer is sold on a monthly plan on its page: 1 month for $35. Delivery is instant, updates are free during your key and setup help is included.
Do you actually need one?
Not everyone does. If your account is fine, you probably do not. If you have been hit with a ban that follows your hardware, or you want to avoid repeating a past mistake, it is worth looking at. Before then, read our guide to reducing ban risk, since prevention is cheaper than starting over.
